Open for 26 years, Orna & Ella became a neighborhood institution known for its thoughtful, unfussy approach to food and its pioneering women owners. During the restaurant’s final week, Heymann, who had worked there for six years, captured an intimate portrait of friendship, partnership, and letting go.
Following the screening, Naama Tamir of Lighthouse BK will prepare a selection of vegetarian bites inspired by the Orna & Ella cookbooks, including its much-loved sweet potato pancakes. She’ll also share memories of the restaurant, its influence, and her own experience as a female restaurateur.
Stay for food, drinks, and conversation through 9:00 PM. Hope to see you there!
Warmly,
Maayan and the Ceres team
